A Number of Problems on Environment Debated

On March 9, in the frameworks of the Investment Programmes in the sphere of Metal Mining the regular sitting of the Investigative Committee Studying the Legality, Substantiation and Financial and Other Reports presented to the executive power bodies and adopted by them.

The RA Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan touched upon the environmental risks of the metal mines, presented the implemented and to be implemented events in this sphere of the structure led by him and talked about the package of the legislative reforms to be designed.

On behalf of his colleagues the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Sergey Bagratyan expressed his readiness for supporting the executive power in having legislative field corresponding with the demands of time.

The questions addressed to the key speaker related to the operation of the mines, the destiny of the wastes, the Amulsar golden mining and numerous other problems. In response to one of the questions Erik Grigoryan has noted that the small and medium mining has no place in Armenia. According to him, the RA citizens should live in the clean environment.

The Environmentalist-Lawyer Nazeli Vardanyan touched upon the environmental and nature use problems, the operation of Amulsar and the expediency of certain legislative provisions.
